MEET THE CHEF

Head Chef : Chef Mahdi Zehri and Chef Sampooran

Raised and trained in Beirut, CHEF MAHDI ZEHRI quickly rose through the ranks at top establishments throughout his region. But his flair for invention appeared during his very earliest years, he says. “I grew up in a creative home, which has served me well throughout my life. As a chef, I am lucky, because I get to combine creativity with my love of food. I enjoy experimenting with different flavors, and developing new recipes at every opportunity.”

When CHEF SAMPOORAN joined Al Saray thirteen years ago, he was already a noted Head Chef, following time in charge at restaurants and hotels in the Middle East and his native India. In Bangkok, he is frequently praised for the originality of his recipes. “I love the traditions of Indian cuisine, but too many restaurants rely on old favorites. I like to blend seasonal ingredients and new techniques within the heritage I belong to.”

REVIEWS

This is my first time having lunch at this restaurant because it's quite famous around Silom, so I decided to come and try it. This restaurant offers both Indian and Lebanese cuisine. All the food is so good, prepared in the traditional style. I recommend the Cheesy Naan Bread; it's so good and chewy, perfect with Butter Chicken and Hummus. If you happen to be in this area and enjoy this type of cuisine, I recommend this restaurant; it's one you shouldn't miss.
